The Beginning
Everyone gather around as I tell you a tale that has been told by me for as long as I can remember.
Long ago there live a wolf tribe that stood out from all the others, as they were by far the largest and strongest of the tribes. Naturally they were feared, though not all was well within the tribe. The alpha male had been gone for many months. Though that is another story...
For this tribe was the Nafawa tribe, and so this is how the land became known. The Nafawa tribe preyed upon the horses that ran along the land, as did the other packs. Before then there was no alliances of dark and light, though no one knows when that truly started. The herds were separated into two groups, ones that feared and ran from the wolves and those that fought them.
Soon the fearful herds, having enough of the slaughter ran off never to return. Known only to the other herd as sun lovers, as they loved worshiping the bright orb of light. While those that lurked in the darkness of night, known to the other herd as night dwellers, stayed and improved their skill against the tribes. War had broken out among the packs, due to the stubbornness of the alpha female of the Nafawa tribe. She just couldn't live with the face he was never coming back. So as I was saying war had broken out between the Nafawa and the newly united tribe, that was previously three.
Bent on the destruction of Nafroa, the alpha female of Nafawa, the second tribe known only as the Mortery tribe enlisted the help of what are now called Shadow Lurkers. These were the most cowardly of the remaining herd. Only coming out at the end of a battle.
You useless, pathetic fools! roared the commanding stag as the few cowering in the forest emerged.
But my lord we were here to serve upon your request hissed a deeply bowing stag of six rotations.
Save me the excuses! I have ordered all able members to fight, and all seven of you ARE able! the crimson pelted stag roared, striking down the brute before him. I know you are in league with those furred trackers! he spat bitterly, striking the stag upon the earth again.
There was a distant howl as those surviving the fight retreated. A silence feel over the equines as they watched as the trackers leave, ready to fight once again.
No one in my herd shall ever serve the howlers! he roared once again Nivallius!
A frail looking fae came more into the light My sir, please no I beg-
Silence Sae! the crimson brute screamed as a coal colored bony frame now halted near the crimson bodice. Nivallius, please make sure that these seven are marked as Shadow Lurkers and are hereby Ban-
My lord please no! cried a frost pelted fae behind Sae. Her tear filled orbs painfully stared at the brute. I could not battle for I am carrying. she sobbed.
Naisa, I do not recall Rickartus mentioning this union, and certainly I would have remembered he calmly stated his orbs casting to the brute at his daggers. Turnakise have you disobeyed the laws of this herd? he questioned the stag laying upon the earth.
y-y-yes I have. he replied, the white of his orbs showing as though he knew the outcome of this mistake.
The crimson stag gave a rough whistle as a group of six appeared by his side. Breeding infraction, take him off and make it quick. he said to a painted stag, who nodded as the group force the stallion to stand.
But father- he shouted above the screams of the frosted fae.
It is my own fault son, I shouldn't have kept you this long. Turnakise's father stated coolly and so seemed he did not care.. Now as I was saying, these six are to be named as Shadow Lurkers for lurking in the darkness during battle, and are now banished from this herd.
The coal stag nodded and moved off to a cave entrance were a bright light was then emitted flashing several times.

So from then on those that lurked in the shadows that were able to fight during battle were called Shadow Lurkers. I know this may sound odd, but it became an insult within the herd, causing fights to break out among themselves.
Soon the blood pelted stag known as Lathesar led what remained of his herd from the land. Though the wolves forever called him dark hearted for the cruel deed he ordered upon his son.
The Nafawa tribe war was ended as the wolves died from battle and lack of prey. For decades the land was not ran upon and so it became overgrown. Now equines that do not know of it's past roam it.
Though there is rumor that the son of Turnakise lived on and his spawn is to return to his great grand sire's homeland. Not much is known about this so called heir, nothing of his alliance is understood, though each have their own thoughts.
